Adoption Journey
Search for a pet
The first step in the adoption journey is to search for a pet that suits your personal circumstances by seeing who is currently up for adoption – please note we are only able to accept applications for animals currently listed on our website.
Complete the application
Once you’ve spotted an animal that you feel able to offer a home to, complete the application form linked to their profile. Please ensure that you fully answer all of the questions to ensure that our team can make an informed decision with regards to your suitability.
Prospective adopters
Prospective adopters who are considered to be a suitable potential matches will be contacted within 7 to 10 working days. Sadly, if you haven’t heard from the branch within 10 working days it means that your application has been unsuccessful.
Pre-adoption checks
The animal that you have expressed an interest in will be marked as ‘reserved’ whilst our Adoptions Team carry out the necessary pre-adoption checks which include a virtual home visit, a meet and greet with your chosen pet and other necessary background checks.
Welcome
Once all the checks have been completed, and our adoptions team are satisfied with that you are a good match for the pet you wish to adopt, it’s time to welcome your latest addition into the family.
